Paste a list of Amazon links and this checks every one for a missing, empty, mismatched or duplicated Associates tag. An untagged link looks completely normal to a reader and earns you nothing — which is exactly why it can sit on a page for months.
Full URLs, Markdown links or raw HTML all work — the checker pulls the address out of the line.

Why the last two are impossible here. Both need a request to Amazon’s servers, and browsers block pages from reading responses from other domains. Any browser tool claiming to confirm stock is either sending your links to its own server, or guessing. This one does neither, which is why it tells you plainly when a link cannot be checked.
How tagged links actually go missing
Almost nobody deletes a tag on purpose. It disappears in ordinary ways:
Copying the address bar instead of using SiteStripe
You open a product to check a detail, copy the URL from the browser, and paste it into a draft. That address has no tag on it. It looks identical to a tagged link to everyone except Amazon.
An editor or plugin rewriting the URL
Some link-cleaning plugins, AMP layers and caching setups strip query parameters to normalise URLs. The tag is a query parameter.
Using the wrong tracking ID
If you run more than one site, or created a second tracking ID to measure a campaign, it is easy to end up with two tags scattered across one site. The commission still arrives, but your reporting is meaningless. Leave the tag field blank above and the checker will show you every distinct tag it found.
Copying from your own older posts

What to do with the results
Missing or empty tags are the ones to fix today. Every click through them is a sale credited to nobody.
A different tag is only a problem if it is not yours. If you have several tracking IDs, decide which one belongs on which site and make it consistent.
Shortened links need expanding before they can be checked. Open one, let it redirect, then copy the full address from the browser.
Links without a product ID point at search results or a category. Amazon permits this, but these convert far worse than a link to a specific product.
One thing this tool will not do. It will not add tags for you. Rewriting links automatically is how sites end up with tags in places the Operating Agreement does not allow, such as email or PDFs. Fix them where they live.
Frequently asked questions
Are my links sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using ordinary text parsing. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.
Can it tell me whether a product is still available?
No, and be sceptical of browser tools that claim to. Checking availability requires contacting Amazon, and browsers deliberately prevent a page from reading another domain’s response. A tool that really does this is sending your links to its own server.
Why can it not check amzn.to links?
A shortened link hides its destination until it redirects, and following that redirect is a cross-domain request the browser blocks. Expand the link yourself and paste the full address.
How many links can I check at once?
There is no fixed limit. It is plain text processing, so several thousand lines is fine on a normal machine.
What does a valid Associates tag look like?
Typically a name followed by a hyphen and two digits, where the digits indicate the marketplace — 20 for the United States, 21 for the United Kingdom and much of Europe, and so on. The checker flags tags that do not follow that shape, though unusual formats do exist.
Does having the tag guarantee I get paid?
No. It confirms the link is structured to credit you. Whether a given sale qualifies depends on Amazon’s rules on cookie windows, eligible products and how the link was placed. The Associates Programme Operating Agreement is the authority on that.
