Suggestions come live from Google Autocomplete — the same phrases real people search for.

The HN Solutions Keyword Research Tool pulls real, live keyword suggestions from Google Autocomplete — the exact phrases people type into the search box. Enter one seed keyword and instantly expand it into hundreds of long-tail keywords, questions and buyer-intent modifiers, then copy them or export to CSV. Free, unlimited and no sign-up.

Why our keyword research tool is better

  • Real Google data — suggestions come live from Google Autocomplete, not a stale database.
  • Three research modes — A–Z alphabet expansion, question keywords (how/what/why), and modifiers like “best”, “free” and “for beginners”.
  • Long-tail gold — these lower-competition phrases are the easiest way for newer sites to rank.
  • One-click export — copy the full list or download a CSV for your content plan.
  • Free and unlimited — no credits, no account, no daily caps.

How to do keyword research

  1. Type a seed keyword that describes your topic.
  2. Click Find keywords, then switch between A–Z, Questions and Modifiers modes.
  3. Click any keyword to copy it, or export the whole list as CSV.

Frequently asked questions

Where do these keyword suggestions come from?

Directly from Google Autocomplete — the live suggestion system built from what people actually search. That makes every result a real search query.

What are long-tail keywords?

Longer, more specific phrases like “best laptop for students under 500”. They have less competition than short keywords, so they are easier to rank for.

Does this tool show search volume?

No. It focuses on discovering real query ideas. For volume estimates, paste the exported CSV into Google Keyword Planner, which is also free.

How do I use question keywords?

Question keywords like “how” and “why” phrases are perfect for blog posts, FAQ sections and featured snippets in Google.

Is this keyword research tool free?

Yes — completely free with unlimited searches and no sign-up.

Where these suggestions come from

This tool queries Google’s public autocomplete service — the same source that fills the dropdown when you type into the search box. Those are real queries people have entered, which makes them a better starting point than a list somebody invented.

What it cannot give you is search volume. Autocomplete returns phrases, not numbers. Anyone showing you precise monthly volumes for free is estimating, often badly. Treat this as a list of real questions to answer, then size them elsewhere.

Getting more out of it than the obvious

Typing your topic gives predictable results. These variations surface the interesting ones:

  • Add a question wordhow to, why does, what is. Question phrasing reveals genuine confusion.
  • Add a letter — “image compressor a”, then b, then c. Each letter returns a different set.
  • Add a prepositionfor, without, vs, near. “compress image without losing quality” is a different intent from “compress image”.
  • Add a qualifierfree, online, best. These separate people ready to act from people still reading.

Read the intent, not the phrase

The same topic carries different intents and each needs a different page. “What is a keyword cluster” wants an explanation. “Keyword cluster tool” wants a tool. “Best keyword cluster tool” wants a comparison. Answering the wrong one is the most common reason a well-written page does not rank.

Match your page to the intent, and check what already ranks — if the first page is all tools and you wrote an essay, you are in the wrong race.

Where the free sources end

Autocomplete, “People also ask” and related searches cost nothing and are genuinely useful. Google Trends shows relative interest over time. Search Console shows queries you already appear for — often the fastest wins on any established site, because you are already ranking and just not well.

Paid tools add volume and difficulty estimates. Useful, and not necessary to start.

From list to plan

A raw keyword list is not a content plan. Group it first — the keyword cluster tool turns a list into topics so one post covers one cluster instead of four thin posts competing with each other. Then use the title generator for the headline and the density checker once the draft exists.
