Google’s position, stated plainly
Google does not penalise content for being AI-assisted. It penalises content that is unhelpful, unoriginal and produced primarily to rank rather than to serve a reader — which describes most unedited AI output, and also plenty of human writing.
The practical implication: AI-assisted content ranks when a person has added something the model could not. First-hand experience, a real number, an opinion, a specific example. Publish the raw output and you have a page indistinguishable from a thousand others.
A workflow that produces something worth publishing
